Buying A Short-Term Condominium

Short Term Vs. Long Term Rentals

The County of Maui views short-term rental (STR) as anything less than 6 months. Before you get too serious about a complex, you will want to confirm if that complex allows STR. If the complex allows STR, it can certainly be rented out long-term or used as a primary residence. However, the inverse is not true. A knowledgeable agent will be your best source of info here as the delineation goes beyond zoning and is driven by the CC&Rs of the complex itself.
