Welcome to Olowalu
Located on Maui’s west side, the tiny town of Olowalu is rich in history.
The Hawaiian meaning of the name is “many hills”, the area is one of the state’s greatest treasures. The small hamlet is home to a few commercial gems such as Leoda’s Pie Shop, The Olowalu General Store, The Farmer’s Market and Juice Stand, and the Butterfly Farm.
The Olowalu Reef, also known as “Turtle Reef”, is home to one of Hawaii’s most diverse reef systems. It’s hard to find a better place to snorkel in all of Hawaii than Olowalu. Snorkelers float above crystal-clear waters and explore astounding coral formations; underwater canyons support abundant marine life. With its shallow water and protection from strong trade winds, Olowalu is an ideal spot for snorkelers of all skill levels.
Oceanfront homes are sprinkled along Honoapiilani Highway and new subdivisions are going in up in the hills offering incredible views.
