Often thought of as a sister town to Makawao, Pukalani (pronounced Poo-cah-lah-nee) means “window of heaven" in Hawaiian. Clouds form above and below the community on Haleakala, leaving Pukalani sunny most of the time.
Like Makawao, Pukalani has its fair share of upcountry subdivisions, there are also neighborhoods located on the local golf course.
